Growing up in a family, all of whom, admired the old masters from the Renaissance, the Baroque and the Rococo periods, formed my foundation in art. The paintings of Leonardo da Vinci, Peter Paul Rubens and Rembrandt became my first definition of what art should be during the early stages of my life.
As it turned out, my early exposure to different cultures in the military—serving under the Operations Iraqi Freedom and Enduring Freedom in the Middle East—broadened my perspective. To combine it with my art experience and art education, this provided me with a broader sense of understanding and enthusiasm towards many genres of art. This has led me to immerse myself in many forms of art and to integrate different media to create my own artwork.
My art serves as a tool to help me communicate my unique vision with the world rather than writing it down in words. Ultimately, the process of creating my art: provided me a door to enter a new dimension, where I can escape the realm of this world, at least for a given moment.
